Kings’ Cholent (Chamin)
A classic stew cooked over night according to the best traditiononal practices at a low temperature until it is browned, with extra fine beef, beef fat, brown beans, groats, kishke and potatoes.
Heating Instructions: Oven - Set oven to 150-160 C (300-320 F). Place an open pan of water on the bottom of the oven. Cover roast and heat for 40-50 minutes. Shabbos Hotplate for Friday night - place on hotplate approx. 3-4 hrs. before serving. Shabbos Hotplate for Shabbos morning - approx. a half hour before Shabbos, place onto a high dish or pot (approx. 5 cm / 2 inches) on the hotplate, directly from the fridge, fully covered with the gravy. Cover with baking paper and foil.
